Coffee Withdrawals

I never really drank coffee until this summer. I was always a tea drinker. However, this past summer I really started to pound down coffee while I was taking classes at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Part of that was becasue I was so tired from reading three chapters a night and the other part was due to the fact that an attractive young man worked in thevicinity of the coffee place. I got hooked. Hooked on coffee.

I'm trying to break my coffee habit (no coffee since Sunday) and it isn't going so well. I miss feeling pumped up and energetic in the morning. I brought my teapot into my classroom so I would be encouraged to drink healthier beverages but all I want to do is run into the kitchen and make a fresh pot of coffee.

Oh coffee, my friend, I miss you.
