That's right...I'm now going to be a resident of Tundra Ridge!
I am so happy right now! I found a place for next year and I'm signing the lease as soon as the lady faxes it to me. There is a possibility that she will be able to find some short terms renters to rent the place for June and July and if that happens I will get reimbursed for whatever the renters pay.
I haven't even seen the place yet. I saw an ad for it via email and I called the lady that night. It sounded like a pretty good deal but I still wasn't sure about the whole thing and not really sure if I wanted to rent a place that sounded good but that I hadn't seen. I mentioned all this during a Skype conversation with my friend Iain and he offered to go check out the place. Not only did Iain offer to check the place out but after getting the phone number of the lady who was renting it went ahead and set up an appointment to check it out. Through a series of events which included organic vegetables another one of my friends, Lee, agreed to go with Iain to check the place out. I was really nervous because although I knew the place was almost brand new, in a location I'm pretty sure I'm going to love, Macy was welcome to stay there, and looked nice from the pictures I was worried that it was too small. I sat by my computer awaiting word from Lee or Iain to hear what it actually looked like and what they thought of it.
Suddenly, my little Skype icon bounced and I saw I had a message from Iain. He said the place was nice, new and would be perfect for me. I called the landlord immediately and next thing I knew I had a place to live for next school year. When Brian is in town he will be staying with me as well..so it's technically its not really "my" place but "our" place!
I'm really excited about it all. I was super worried about finding a place to live and rent and all that stuff...however, I'm feeling pretty good right now. Things feel like they are coming together and my mind is at ease.
